Following is a small selection of web and app projects Redweb has worked on. Redweb does a lot of web design, custom database development and web development for advertising agencies and we're sometimes not able to put these in our portfolio.
Redweb has recently merged with Christchurch based design firm Thompson & Thompson to form Pixlbox Limited. We can now provide the 'best of both' in terms of top quality designs and the leading edge technology.

We were tasked to re-develop South Africa's top ranking attorneys / legal directory website. The re-development had to take into account a full import of the data from the existing database and ensure the website url's complete matched the legacy website.

The web programmers from Redweb worked on the development of the local community websites Localme.co.za and Localme.co.nz websites. The websites were developed to facilitate communication between local community members through the use of local chat, local news/events, local classifieds and local shop/service listings.
We have used the latest in web development techniques to ensure the sites run smoothly and are extremely scalable (to allow for the high usage scenarios predicted for this system). The user interface was carefully designed to make the websites simple to navigate and easy to operate.

For Transdiesel we integrated with their offline used parts system, creating a daily feed through to an online Microsoft SQL Server database. The front end user interface includes custom built search functionality. The website was developed with a ‘responsive design’ allowing it to scale easily between desktop and mobile devices without the need for mobile specific application.
The system was built to scale under heavy usage and to allow for easy maintenance and upgrades. The technology used to custom build this project was ASP.NET MVC. Redweb worked to keep the project within the tight budget and delivered on time and with the full functionality requested.
We worked with Christchurch based advertising agency Wilson Advertising to produce a technically advanced CMS solution for the Beach Grove subdivision in Kaiapoi.
The system was built to scale under heavy usage and to allow for easy maintenance and upgrades. The technology used to custom build this project was ASP.NET MVC.
We work with New Zealand farm supplies company Ravensdown on their internal .NET development and other systems development work.
For Food With A Story we created a custom content management system, database and online product directory. The site is designed to be exteremely search engine friendly and utilises cutting edge web technologies to create a smooth experience for users of the site.
Under the covers the website is powered by a robust and scalable database system which enables the system to be easily scaled as the traffic increases.
The JSA Documents project was a custom built ASP.NET MVC application with accompanying MS SQL database. We managed the project from the very beginning, first producing a blueprint document outlining how the site would be developed and then developing the application based on this 'set of plans'. The website makes strong use of client side code (jQuery) to provide an optimal user experience.
We worked with the client remotely from their base in Saudi Arabia via Skype and email. The project is currently in BETA.

Bella Cucina transports diners straight to Italy with a cosy, rustic Italian ambience. As you enter Bella Cucina you are instantly warmed by the huge wood-fired oven and embraced by the wonderful aromas of Italy. Redweb captured the vibrancy of the restaurant and dining experience on the recently developed website.
The website includes an easy to use content management system allowing the staff at Bella to update their own menus and other web content.
Ecobob is testimony to the 'longevity' of web projects developed by our team. The site designed and developed as a state-of-the-art 'web 2.0' website back in 2008 to promote eco houses in New Zealand and to promote the use of eco friendly products and services such as solar hot water etc. The website utilises a sophisticated but easy to use content management system, enabling the administrators to easily update all pages without the need to understand HTML or other technical jargon.
At the time of development Ecobob made use of the latest in web technology to give the user a smooth browsing experience, which means that even 11 years later the website continues to provide a responsive user experience. The system was developed to be highly scalable and allows for a large number of users browsing at any one time.
The website uses the Redweb Online Shop technology allowing people to order goods over the internet using secure credit card technology.
Ecobob is one of many custom online directories developed by Redweb including Greenlist, Food With A Story, Viva Eco Africa amoug others.
The technologies used to create Ecobob include Microsoft ASP.NET, MS SQL Server andJavascript.

We worked with Virtual View to come up with a content management solution that met their specific requirements. They wanted to be able to add high quality images to the website as well as maintain a newsletter and the ability to edit other key elements of the site.
The design of the site needed to have high impact to represent the high quality visual elements of their service offering.
Redweb created a prototype system for Omnui as a proof of contept. The system is a custom online web application including database, mobile friendly site and custom web functionality all developed from the ground up in ASP.NET.
Omnui is a time recording / time banking system being developed into a method for recording the time people spend volunteering with NGO's or helping each other.
